Nason's Beer Hall brunch tips

  • Brunch is served weekends from 10:00am-2:00pm: early risers and late sleepers alike can enjoy a relaxed window for brunch, with most tables filling up between 10:30am and noon.

  • Nason's Slamwich is a brunch hero: made with omelet-style eggs, heirloom tomato, arugula, sharp cheddar, and Calabrian chile aioli on Tuscan white bread, this sandwich packs heat, crunch, and savory flavor in every bite.

  • Start with the Fried Chicken Biscuit for Southern comfort: this dish features warm homemade rosemary biscuits topped with crispy chicken thigh—simple, hearty, and exactly what you want with your first beer of the day.

  • The bar serves one of the best Bloody Marys in the Gaslamp: made with Skyy vodka and topped with a skewer loaded with garnish, it’s bold, peppery, and full of brunch personality.

  • There's no dedicated parking, so plan accordingly: Nason’s doesn’t offer valet or validation, but paid lots and garages nearby are your best bet, especially during Padres home games.

  • The vibe is lively with sports, beer pong, and vintage arcade games: expect an upbeat, social atmosphere perfect for group brunches before heading to Petco Park or walking around Gaslamp.

  • Pair brunch with a local beer flight from the 24 taps: from San Diego staples to international pours, the draft list covers everything from hazy IPAs to blood orange ales.

  • Don't skip the Cinnamon Churro Cheesecake: this dulce de leche cheesecake that comes with toasted coconut and horchata ice cream has become a fan favorite across all dayparts.

Nason's Beer Hall Brunchspotter review

CONTRIBUTOR

Nason’s Beer Hall isn’t doing brunch for the ‘gram. It’s doing it for the Bacon Flight. Three styles—teriyaki, cinnamon toast, and sriracha honey—land at the table without explanation, because they don’t need one. The Fried Chicken Biscuit, with its rosemary crunch and pesto aioli potatoes, makes the case for staying put, and the S’mores French Toast has zero shame about its marshmallow drizzle. The space itself feels like it got dressed for both a casual game day and a downtown date: comfortable, but still polished. If you’re the type to need eggs with your meat, the Gaslamp Sunrise is a safe move, and the Wood Fired Breakfast Pizza might be the only excuse you’ll need to order another Mimosa Kit. You’re a short stumble from Petco Park, but you may not want to leave.
