Flora North Park is the kind of place you walk into and immediately know you’re going to stay longer than planned. It’s lush and layered without being overdone: sunlight on pink tile, greenery against soft gold, the kind of styling that feels intentional but lived-in. It doesn’t feel like a restaurant trying to do brunch. It feels like a restaurant that was made for it. We started with the shakshuka eggs and a matcha espresso martini because the staff told us we'd regret skipping it. They were right. The shakshuka had depth and brightness without being too heavy, and the cocktail was smooth, slightly earthy, and not too sweet. The smoked salmon croissant Benedict came buttery and crisp, and the man candy bacon on the egg sandwich gave just enough smoky heat to cut through the richness. Every table around us was celebrating something, and the servers moved like pros. Flora doesn’t just do brunch. It curates a little moment out of it. One of those rare spots where the menu, the mood, and the playlist all agree. If you're overdue for a brunch that feels like an actual treat, this is where you go.
