Craft & Commerce brunch tips

  • Order the bone marrow (yes, for brunch): the roasted bone marrow is a cult favorite here, and yes, you can (and should) brunch on it. If you're feeling bold, ask for it as a bone luge.

  • Know that the menu leans limited but inventive: expect a smaller, rotating selection with bold dishes like fried chicken breakfast biscuit, French toast with flair, or a standout breakfast burrito, with every item packing personality.

  • Come thirsty for the cocktail craftsmanship: brunch cocktails here are no afterthought, with favorites including the Del Jardin, Café Old Fashioned, and mezcal-forward spins that are as witty as they are potent.

  • Get the blueberry pancakes or French toast to share: even if you're more into savory, the blueberry pancakes and caramelized banana French toast are brunch stars and perfect for sharing at the end.

  • Sundays can get busy so book a table in advance: locals swear by the vibe here for date brunches or group hangs, but seats go fast, especially after 11:00am so reservations are recommended.

  • Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere: Craft & Commerce nails that Hemingway-meets-safari aesthetic, with taxidermy, book walls, and just the right dose of hipster sarcasm.

  • Don't expect ketchup (really): they have a no-ketchup policy that confuses newcomers but delights fans of chef-forward dining so try the dijonnaise with fries instead.

  • Ask about the tiki bar in the back: False Idol, the hidden tiki bar attached to Craft & Commerce, is a vibe all its own and some brunch-goers sneak in post-meal for round two.

Craft & Commerce Brunchspotter review

VANESSA A.

CONTRIBUTOR

Craft & Commerce isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a mood board come to life. The interior feels like a David Lynch speakeasy: taxidermy on the walls, worn leather booths, and low lighting that flatters everyone. It’s cheeky and cinematic, but never gimmicky. And the brunch? It goes toe-to-toe with the best in the city. I went in for the French toast and ended up adding fried chicken, a buttermilk biscuit, and one of their cocktails that tasted like it had a backstory. Every dish had personality. The biscuit was fluffy, the pancakes had that banana caramel moment people whisper about and the Café Old Fashioned had enough cold brew to keep me from needing a nap. Service hit the right balance between sharp and easygoing, and the crowd was what you’d expect for Little Italy: stylish, relaxed, and maybe slightly hungover. You come here because you want more than just eggs on a plate. You come for a little theater, a little edge, and the kind of brunch that makes you text three friends after and say, we’re going back next weekend.
