Trust brunch tips
Book ahead, especially on weekends: brunch fills up quickly, and walk-ins are often out of luck unless you're willing to wait or take bar seating.
Start with the ultimate sticky bun (if available): their signature sticky bun changes flavor often—think cereal milk or mandarin-limoncello toppings—and sells out fast.
Don't miss the smoked pork shoulder hash: this savory standout with housemade sauce is one of the most praised and frequently reordered dishes.
The cinnamon roll is massive and meant to share: served warm and gooey, it’s easily big enough for four people, making it the perfect starter or dessert-style finish.
Try to sit on the patio for a more relaxed vibe: the indoor space can get loud, especially during peak brunch hours, while the patio offers fresh air and a quieter setting.
Order a cocktail with botanical or citrus notes: Trust is known for its creative cocktails, and brunch favorites include herb-forward and citrusy drinks like the Botanic Garden and Corpse Reviver that pair well with the bold food menu.
Try the baked eggs for something lighter but flavorful: served with tangy tomato sauce, herbs, and grilled bread, this dish is a top choice for guests looking for something savory that isn’t too heavy.
Plan for street parking or pay lots nearby: there’s no dedicated lot, but there’s a small metered lot across the street and some street parking available if you're lucky.

CONTRIBUTOR
Trust does that rare thing where brunch feels elevated but not fussy. The moment you slide into one of their sun-drenched booths or hit that leafy patio, you know you’re in for something good. The ultimate sticky bun still reigns supreme here. It changes often (ours had a citrusy twist), but it always shows up warm, glossy, and way too easy to finish. We followed it with the smoked pork shoulder hash and a round of the baked eggs, which somehow manages to be both cozy and a little luxurious. Service is smooth even when it’s busy, and yes, it gets loud, but it’s Hillcrest. That’s part of the charm. Pro tip: grab a spot before noon or you’ll be staring longingly at other people’s plates. The sticky bun is never promised twice.
